Page 5 of 11 General BusinessThe general business major provides students with a broader look at the field of business. Rather than concentrating in one specific field such as accounting, economics, finance, management, or marketing, you choose courses from several of these fields. You design your major within boundaries established by the College of Business and Economics. You may take up to four courses in any one field or department. The general business major includes three options that provide students an opportunity to concentrate coursework within a specific area or emphasis. They include general business without an emphasis, general business – entrepreneurship, and general business – international. The entrepreneurship emphasis is for those students who are interested in operating a small business or starting their own business upon graduation. The international emphasis prepares students for positions with companies doing business internationally. |
