Job Outlook

The use of technology in business has increased the demand for infrastructure support personnel. Graduates of the program are well prepared for a broad range of computing positions. Information Technology occupations are among Wisconsin’s fastest growing occupations within the next 7 years. Network Systems and Data Communication Analysts are predicted to be the second fastest growing occupation at both the national and state level. The Department of Workforce Development predicts 56.4% growth in this area.

Job Titles

Typical job titles for entry level positions include network administrator, network manager, technical support, network support, and systems administrator.

Job Locations

While there are positions available across the nation (and world) for graduates of the program, most of our students elect to stay in Wisconsin after receiving job offers from one of the businesses in the region.  Companies in the region that have hired recent graduates include - Northwestern Mutual, Harley-Davidson, CUNA Mutual, Quad Graphics, Grant Thorton, Liberty Mutual, Epic Systems, UW Health, Mercy, and American Family Insurance.
