Direct Supply Inc. Intern
Graduating December 2009

Have you had any IT work experience while going to school?
I am currently an intern for Direct Supply Inc. in Milwaukee. I'm a Client Support intern, which is a helpdesk position that provides support to our entire company.

Did you do anything fun this past summer?
This summer I took a week off from my internship to volunteer at the UW-Whitewater CyberGirlz camp, which is held for Middle School girls around the area.  I was a mentor to a group of girls and had fun helping them with all of their various activities.  My favorite part of the camp was helping the girls design their own websites and seeing how excited they were to show their parents what they accomplished by the end of the week.

What are some of your hobbies outside of school?
I love to play volleyball in the summer and go snowmobiling in the winter.  I also play the drums and have been in a few different bands playing anything from punk rock to heavy metal.  I was able to go on tour and play shows all over Wisconsin and Illinois with one of my bands and hope to get to do it again soon!

What are your plans after graduating?
I plan on becoming a full-time employee at Direct Supply.  I love my job so far and the opportunities for advancing within the company seem endless.  I'm already being asked what other departments within IT interest me so I can set some goals for the future, so it's really exciting!
